Is Marseilles VS Black and Marseilles Black the same tree? How many times does it crop and what month for zone 6b in ground? Is it worth having in ground or I can find something better ( maybe Kathleen's Black) what does it taste like? Same. It's supposed to be a very good tasting fig, hardy in NJ and a good growing tree

SOOOO! Was Herman2 not convinced his Marseilles Black was really a Marseille Black? There must have been a reason for someone putting the VS on there. There must have been some doubt or someone thought his was superior to a standard Marseille Black.
