Here is a ripe Ischia Black. It was the best fig so far this year although it's been a rainy June I should have known to try to restrict the water so it would have been a more dehydrated and concentrated sugar and flavor fig.

I have one from UCD and one from Encanto. I believe that fig was from the Encanto source. There is a larger fig on the UCD tree. Last year the UCD tree did not have a good year. This year it has a lot of figs.

Thanks Tom for posting the video , Jons tree makes a pretty fig and main crop which i had plenty and if you like Vdb you will enjoy main crop figs on yours.

Hi Martin, The other tree has a larger fig just starting to ripen. That is the tree I took the air layers off of and it responded with a good amount of new growth and figs this year. It did not do to much last year.

That sure is a good looking fig! Very dark, inside and out. I hope to taste a fig from my Black Ischia this year as well. All this rain has me a little concerned though. Hopefully it will taper off as the summer progresses.
