I tried both. I like the rooter pots better. The round ones with zip ties need some tinkering to hold them in place securely.

think im going to get 5 3-packs of the medium size. think i would use those the most. a couple large too. dont think i would really have use for the small at this time. I had an ideal for somthing like this three years ago. used a bowl i bought from walmart and modified. molded it with plaster. and bought a t part poly compound. unfortunatly the plaster mold would not release the poly so I knew i needed silicone for the mold. but that silicone is expensive. now these are out. oh well they are cheep enough i cant complain. ill use the poly for some other hair brained ideal down the road i am sure.

I believe Bass sells Rooter Pots, at least they used to be listed on his site: http://www.treesofjoy.com/

I tried both the rooter pots from Bass and the clam shells from airpropigator.com. There wasn't much difference in results in my opinion except the rooter pots are far better quality. 1/3 of my clam shell pots came broken and they are not very well constructed.

Are the rooter pots the same size as the clamshell. I don't want nothing to big. The med clamshell is perfect size for my needs.
