This is another excellent fig. Very sweet, jammy and just a little figgy. It was able to ripen without any rain. I will give it a 9.5 on a 1-10 which is at the top of my list so far for 2013.

Art, to my wife and I, HC doesn't compare. GB has so much more
flavor to us.

That's surprising as HC is always in the top 5 in taste for me. Good to know since my first year Gino is loaded with figs.

Frank, as you know taste test are subjective. When you are comparing
the taste of 50 or more varieties its difficult for everyone to have the
same results. This years HC just isn't way up the list for us and we have
a good many newer figs we think taste better.
