What's up everyone! Wanted to thank Steve for his generosity and let him know all of his cuttings he sent me have rooted with the exception of Enola3. I lost one of the Enolas right of the bat as it was very dehydrated but the second is forming calius as we speak so hopefully it will root soon. MBvs, Bryant Dark and VDB have all rooted nicely and I potted them up last night. I may have potted them up alittle soon but the mix is used shouldn't stay too wet and they should do fine. I started them in bags with wet paper towels but was seeing some mold forming so I put them in cups with a 70-30 mix of perilite and peat. Placed them in a plastic ben in the shade with some water in the ben for moisture and 4x4 blockes to place the cups on so they aren't sitting in the water. They rooted fine and life is good.
Just started the cuttings here
2 more to go
Freshly potted up
Same plants different angle

Thanks everyone! I was already addicted to growing fruit but now I'm just expanding. I'm really excited about VDB. I've read so many good posts on it. I got to taste my neighbors fig tree last week. He doesn't know what variety it is but it was delicious! Tasted like apricot or peach. He let me get some cuttings off of it to so now I got more cuttings to root. I'm gonna have to get rid of some other plants now to make room for figs! Exciting stuff;)
