First post, new member. Have half dozen figs, some in ground some in containers. My question to those of you with much more fig experience than me is: how effective is rabbit Poop as fertilizer? I have access to quite a lot of it at very low cost so would use if it is effective. Thanks, look forward to being a part of this community!

I put it in the hole of new transplants and I top dress my trees around the base. I use it in my cutting soil too. I have meat rabbits to produce manure and meat and pelts. I've never seen any manure work better, as bunny poo does not need composted to be safe to use. Doug welcome

Thanks, that is exactly the response I had hoped for. Everything I have read indicated it should work great.

Agree with Doug 100%! I raise meat Rabbits also (WHITE NZ) and have used their manure fresh as a daisy and it is great! Good Luck!

Hey Frank, I raise the Californian rabbit. They do pay for themselves a few ways. Doug

Good information! Thanks! A follow-up question would be: do you use the rabbit poop as a supplemental fertilizer or exclusively? Thanks, Tony

I use as a supplemental fertilizer. You could use it by its self.

This year I have used it as my only fertilizer I did not use 10-10-10 like I have in the past. This year I only fertilized my 2 year old and younger trees. If I had more manure, I would have top dressed all my trees. All in time. Doug
