Well the rust is in full swing with most of my trees showing some. I have noticed that the rust usually starts at the bottom and works up. The bottom is subjective. The bottom of a branch that is spread out from the rest of the tree while it is certainly not the bottom of the tree. We were subjected to rain every day for about two months and I had no rust. We have now been in a dry spell for a couple of weeks and the rust is gaining the upper hand.
