Good day, out of all of the figs I've eaten this year, this one was memorable.  Look at the leaf pattern.  I Like this fig very much!  It's not a brown turkey, it's not Violete de Bordeaux, its not Negronne, it's not Petite Negra.  I don't know what it is.  I talked about this fig in another thread.  This is a very good find.   One day I'll grow it side by side to Valle Negra and Nero 600m.

Dennis does this plant also produce single lobed leaves? I have a fig that is very very similar also purchased as a Brown turkey two years ago.

mine has leaves similar to negronne but not quite the same also produces single lobed leaves fruit is outstanding.

Thanks Dennis, yours looks great too. These unfortunately do split bad with rain for in terms of flavor it's got an intense berry flavor.

Hey Alan, today, I now have Valle Negra and Nero 600m. Keep an eye on this thread this summer because I will be posting a follow video and pictures of my 3 trees in comparison.

Dennis,

I once had a Valle Negra (now lost to cold).

Somewhere on my computer, there should be a pic. showing
a very, very similar likeness to your finger-like leaves in post #6.
If I manage to find it; I'll post it within 24-48 hours...
The leaves shown in post #1 are not Valle Negra.

Currently, I have 2-3 VN twigs going (aka., rooting),
from my original good/generous/understanding source (aka., Peppino).

P.S.
Sometimes, I do confuse Valle Negra with Villa Nero (too) ...

P.S.S.
Nice fig you got there; definitely not a BT!

OK, the jury is out on this fig! After 2 years of researching this fig, it is the exact same fig as Nero 600m.

VS, you were right! You told me it was and below are leaf patterns of both 2 year old Nero 600m leaves and my whiskey barrel Brown Turkey not!. THe pics below were taken today. I've got several of these and will plant them in my orchard in a few weeks. It's been a long 2 year wait. But now, I know.

Hello Gorgi (GEORGE)
I still have the Valle Negra fig tree that you sent me 3 or 4 years ago. However it is not a Valle Negra. It is a VALLECALDA aka Nero 400M aka Nero 600M confirmed by Sergio.Nero400M and Nero600M aka Vallecalda is confirmed by me. If you want a couple cuttings now or a sucker next summer send me an e-mail eagleflys42@sbcglobal.net

NELSON,
Your fig tree looks like a VDB.
