Thanks for Posting, my Brown Turkey has 5 Lobes on the leaves, you may have a different one than me, maybe its English Brown Turkey.

My Brown Turkey has 5 lobes. When the plants is young (in pot), sometimes the lobe is not stable.
Here is the leave of my Brown Turkey when the plant is mature:

how will you know if the bud you have on the plant is a leaf or fruit.  My leave fell off but are growing on the lower section now.

USUALLY the leaf bud is pointier and the fruit is more rounded, usually.

If it's a "terminal" bud ( a sort of cone-shaped bud on the tip of a stem) it's probably a leaf bud. Flower (fruit) buds are dome-shaped, like a little bead. The flower bud sits above and behind the leaf, so if it's a flower bud you'll usually see a round scar below it where the leaf was. Beautiful fig but I do not think it is a Brown Turkey.  I have 2 different Brown Turkeys, the Southern and the English and neither has the skin color or eye color like yours.  It is really a nice looking fig.
