I have heard of, but never experienced a reaction to latex. Until yesterday.
I have had small amounts of fig sap on me numerous times. Yesterday I pulled probably 100+ small green figs from my MBVS to start getting ready for winter and when I was done my hands were covered!!
Went from there to the garden too see what might need harvesting there. Was there probably 10 minutes or so and my hands started burning! Took a few minutes to figure out what was going on and went in to throughly was my hands. Took a few more minutes after that but the burning subsided.

Greg, there is probably something that counter reacts to the latex.....If I get some on my skin I immediately wash off and use Alcohol, Rubbing Alcohol, not Tequila...LOL But Tequila could help forget the problem...LOL

I went my entire life being impervious to most everything until I reached middle adulthood and started developing allergies to lots of stuff. My specialist told me that it's fairly common to become allergic later in life. Sad but true. :(

at this point no swelling or blisters or itching etc, looks like I am past the worst, some itching and burning until I got it washed off
