Indian summer - Veranillo - Été indien - Altweibersommer - Estate di San Martino - Verão de San Martinho

Despite 2 or 3 days of heavy downpours a forth-night or so ago, which brought a lot of damage to ripe and ripening figs, then,  the gentle and typical, Indian Summer (*) shows up , bringing ideal warm and dry weather and the figs responded in kind . And it will go on for at least another two or three weeks.

So farmers are happy 'cause rains soften the top soil to enable plowing and planting for the winter crops and figs  keep showing up on the table.

(*) It also happens that on some years there is no such summer!

Ah not bad and makes the season next year so far away.
But i don't want to rush it cause it makes one older faster !

Those look like great figs to me, glad you are able to enjoy good weather.
