I'm not usually a bread pudding fan but I had a good one recently and thought it give it a try, replacing the raisins with dried figs reconstituted in dark rum.  It was topped with whipped cream and a nice fresh fig from my Sal's.

The pic doesn't do it justice - it was heavenly delicious!

I read through the ingredients in the above, fig pudding recipe.  You had me with the 2 cups of Black Mission figs.  Can't wait to try out the recipe.   By the way, I resolved to lose some weight for the new year.  Do you think it's possible that I'll lose weight trying out recipes for fig, bread-puddings?

Hey, you only live once.

My mother just made a bread pudding with a panettone that my aunt brought over on Christmas it came out really good. I might have to try one with figs.
