Nice way to start the season. We've only had .82" of rain in 3 months. Hoping for some rain next week. Somehow we skipped winter this year. I think the east coast got ours on top of theirs.

Sue that's amazing loooking! I moved from down the hill from you, Valley Center, 6 yrs ago. I really didnt appreciate how easy growing fruit was. Now I've learned about Winter.
I hope the rain keeps comming to you, slow and easy. How much have you have the last couple days? Soni

Great picture Sue, Spring has sprung down South also. I was gonna put up a post with the same title but I am a little behind in taking pictures. Maybe next week as we are going visit friends out of town this week end. Good luck on the slow and easy rain. I would send you some if I could, we've had more than our share. Looking for drier weather to get the spring garden started. "gene"

Soni, My area got about 1 1/2" on Friday. It was touted as the 'storm of the century', the biggest storm since '83, NOT. I'm assembling raised garden beds in-between rain squalls. Bottoms are covered with gopher wire, sides and top with chicken wire to keep out the other critters. Hope it's worth the effort and $$$. EDIT: Today's rain brings my area up to 2" or so. Still less than half our average rainfall. EDIT 2: By end of the day Saturday my area was up to 3 1/4" of rain, not bad but the total for the year is only half of our average, around 5".
