I didn't realize the sent box does not automatically save your messages. I am pretty sure I was in contact with someone here that was interested in my shipova, but I can't figure out who.

Bump!  Not sure if you can edit the title to a post, but this is ON topic.  You might get more response if you could have titled it like HELP! Need person I promised my Shipova to contact me!

Good luck to you!

Not everyone reads this forum every day, so this post could easily get lost again.

Shipova is a cross between a pear and a mountain ash. I haven't had it fruit yet.

Excuse me if I'm repeating common knowledge -- someone may have binova this already...  (...sorry, I didn't get the full "pova" in there...just the "ova".  If I come up with something better, I'll come back and edit the post.)

To edit the subject:   the original poster should click the little "edit" link at the bottom right of the original post.  Then click the "Use Full Editor" button at the bottom of the edit area.  The subject line will then appear at the top of the edit area, and the text can be modified or completely changed.
Cheers,
Jim

See, now I am confused.  I thought this thing was a fig, but it is off topic.  And it's part pear and part some kind of mountain ash?  Wow!  I do not think they could mate.  JMHO!

But whoever contacted you should step up!

Rui, I am sending you cuttings. I don't think I was going to send the whole tree, was I? I wish I could remember where I put my brain! I thought I spoke with someone in North Carolina or at least in the south-east. I have always depended on the sent-box to refresh my memory but there is no sent box here, so I am out of luck.

BTW: Rui, I have a nice set of scion to send you. Do you have a pear tree to graft the shipova to?

It's a bit hidden, but there is a sent box here:  when you go into private messages, look on the left near the top and you'll see "folders" with a drop-down triangle beside it.  Click there to call up the link to your sent folder.

Something to watch out for, though, is that sent messages only get stored into your sent folder if you click the "save a copy" box underneath your message before you send the message.  I've heard there's supposed to be a way to get all sent messages to save automatically, but I can't figure out how.

She's a little unstable -- now it's Maria Tipova...
There! I got the "pova" rhyme to make up for my lame rhyme in post #7.  I'm done now, I can go to bed...

blueboy, problem with drinking is.. after awhile, you don't get drunk, nor too happy. just thirsty. good thing about g&t is it's very refreshing. sort of like light beer, but not the domestic stuff. well.. i take that back. coors light still hits the spot now and then.

My grandfather was like that, he could drink all day and you would never know. Never even stumble or slur. The only way you could tell is he had to go to the bath room every 30 min. Ive never been a big drinker. I always preffered the greener alternative when I was younger but kids and work will not allow that behavior any more. Come on retirement!

your grandfather sounds like my best friend's parents. when i first met them first thing they said was "there's few cases for beer in the back of the station wagon. help yourself" x) we used to hang out at the beach every summer. cases and cases of beer. "not just for breakfast" had real meaning back then. :) only cure for hang over is.. more beer!

Milehigh, I do have a pear, and I was only looking for scion, not trees.
And I think I figured out a way to send you some figs in about two months.
