Wow Tami, what a downpour! I guess you are not in the drought stricken part of Texas. Your photos and landscape look really beautiful. I hope it lets up soon.

That is some serious rain.  Maybe you start building an arc and loading it up with two of each variety just in case.

Rain?  or over-enthusiastic sprinkler system?  haha..  wow.. i thought it was bad here in NE Texas.  I don't feel quite so bad now about not being able to work outside this past weekend.

Hope it dries out a bit for you, Tami.

I just went out and measured, the water line on the buckets was 5 3/4", a standing wheel barrow in the driveway that was dry before the rains had a little over 12" in it. OMG that was a lot of rain. Apparently we're not out of the woods yet. The hurricane in the pacific on the other side of Mexico is going to be sending us these presents until Friday. How terribly thoughtful!

That rain water is good for rooting the cuttings in it. If you decide to keep it, make sure you do not prevent the oxygen getting in freely.
I went to a local garden that has a koi pond and got some water from there, the cuttings really like it!

I agree rainwater is great but Koi water is better by far, nothing like fish poop to get a plant excited!

Tami,
Throw a few willow branches in with the koi and then you'll really have some great water.

My basement looks like your yard - or did a few days ago. Have had a crew of 5 guys here for what seems like forever as they manage to handle all my stuff with their retched, twisted, needy little claws. Oh well, at least it's dry inside again. Of course it's raining outside and that includes decent size (as in big enough to hurt) hail stones.

It's always something aint it?. Other then the water your place looks nice.

Thank you Michael. My whole yard is like quick sand now, there won't be any walking around out there for a few days!

Yes, it was pretty bad and we had another one last night that woke me up at 11:00PM. Today looks sunny but we can hear the thunder rumbling pretty good. No drought here at the moment :)
