I would love to hear from anyone that is growing both of these to see if you have a preference. I am mostly interested in knowing if one is more cold hardy than the other or if one ripens sooner. I am not interested in getting a breba crop. Of course I would love to hear any taste comparisons between these. Thanks for any information.

Derek , I am only growing Atreano and it is an excellent and productive fig ,but more than any other fig I've grown , it has to be really fully ripe to be really good. At least here in NH , it goes from bland to great only at the very end of ripening.
If you need Atreano cuttings , I can send you some.
For me JH Adriatic is an even better fig and if picked by accident slightly under ripe it is still very good.

Thanks for the offer of the cuttings but I already have both growing though they are quite small. I am thinking about planting on a very small scale to sell the fruit and I need a good green/yellow variety that is cold hardy in zone 7 and ripens relatively early. Hardy chicago and celeste do very well for me and are excellent tasting but would like to add something a little different.
Where did you get your atreano? Mine came from Rolling River nursery in CA and understand it may be slightly different from the original strain but really have no clue.
