I went around with a camera and took some pics. A lot of figlets, will see how many get to the end. Enjoy!
The Panachee was strange, 2 figs in the middle of nothing.
The Adriatic from Grasa (thanks, Grasa!) is covered, the twins look really cute.
I was surprised to see how many were on the Ischia White, I didn’t try it last year, I hope it good.

I forgot to mention, that this year I religiously pinch after every 5-6 leaves, I think this explains the amount of figs.
You can see the pinched bud on the second from the left photo (Grasa’s Adriatic).
I started pinching about a month ago, as soon as the fifth leaves started appearing. 

I am sure many of you will have loads of the tasty figs!
It just happens that I live in the Fig Paradise and the figs + sun do the magic  :)

Ditto here Igor, I've been a pinching maniac and it looks like it's starting to pay off. I am a little confused though. Only 1 of my trees seems to be getting breba's on the trunk, the rest appear to be main crop on new growth but how on earth are those going to hang there for4 months plus before they ripen? Is that normal?

I think they will hang as long as the weather permits. Last year I collected the last figs in December!
They were from the last year’s cuttings (I do not remove the first figs, probably not a good thing to do but that’s just me) and the figs appeared late in the season.
I expect to see those in the photos to be ripe much-much sooner. 
The figs swell very fast, I believe the Long Yellow showed up about 2 weeks ago.

I make my own compost out of grass clippings, straw, kitchen scraps, shredded wood, etc.
I have two large bins that I rotate. When uppotting the figs, I add about 25-30% of it to the soil (+lime and pumice).
The rest is the work of the nature with sun and a bit of water every other day.
The figs that have the most of the sunlight have the most of figlets, that is my observation. Even the ones that are sun allergic, like VdB , are covered in figs.

Thank you greenfig for your soil composition recipe.  I've got 1 compost bin going, but it has a lot of oak leaves along with grass clippings and soon kitchen scraps too.  If I add a little extra lime to the mixture I wonder if that will balance the ph level.  This compost will not be ready until fall if I am careful to turn and keep moist. 

A couple of weeks ago I grabbed the fig by the stem/trunk and lifted it up out of the pot.   There are a lot of roots.  * I haven't been discarding the kitchen scraps, I just dump them during the winter or when I get lazy into metal cages where I will plant my tomatoes and Brussels sprouts etc.    WI

Adding the lime changes the pH of the soil and I add it to the final soil mixture, not to the compost.
Before adding the lime, I would test the soil first, maybe you do not need it.

There is a lot of information on the compost preparation, on this forum and on the Internet in general. Since I do not know your setup, read a bit about it if nesessary.
For me it takes about 2 months in warmer times to get the final product. It has to be fully decomposed, not sticky, and full of worms. The worms are very helpful.
