I got my mother a propigated fig tree for mothers day, it was doing amazing while at my house, although it was indoors in sunny window. We slowly put it outdoors at my moms, but she has left it out on deck, bringing it in porch once in a while when it rains heaviy. I came home and it has some brown marks on leaves, there is some leaves that are curling and some are dropping off, I let told her to let the soil dry out for week incase it was some type of fungus, I will attach some pictures if anyone can help me out as quickly as possible that would be good, I will only be here for the weekend and would like to fix her issue while im home. I l inive CT so the weather is perfect out right now, in the 60-75 degree range.

Looks sunburned, it'll probably drop those leaves and grow new ones. The old leaves aren't acclimated to full sun, thus the wilting as well. Make sure it's not too dry, soil likes dry in the photos.

Yes that is a possibility, although whenever Ive seen sunburn on plant it looks white, I was afraid that it could be rust? I just gave it some H20 and some fertilizer. Does it look like rust?

Your tree is fine. It's just sunburn. The tree has been indoors and not exposed to full sun until now. Those leaves will turn white and fall off. Or you can cut it off. New ones will emerge soon and those will be able to handle full sun without any problems. good luck!

Ok well i feel much better if thats the only issue! I just wanted to check with everyone to see. Now should I only give it full sun for a little while each day to aclaimate it more, or just leave it in is spot? its been outdoors for 3 weeks now?

My dessert king did the same thing. Burnt ridge nursey said it was sunburned. My leaves fell off and new started. Mine is doing fine right now. I'm a newbie at this but I found out that potted plants need more water but don't let them soak in water.

I agree with Dennis. It looks fine. Just don't let it get too dry. From the look of it, i'm assuming it has a good root system. so it can handle extra water. i'd put it somewhere it gets sun all morning to early afternoon to mid afternoon. Keep it watered, the sun will dry out that pot quick. Might think about shielding the pot to keep the roots a little cooler.
