After a year of reading and envying everyone's beautiful pictures, I can finally post a pic of my very first fig that I grew from birth (- last year I had a couple that already had figlets when I bought them so those didnt count)!! I probably could have waited another day or 2 for them to ripen but I was too excited. It was still tasty and my 2 yr old and I shared and savored it. Thanks Gary, Armando is correct- it was a Violette De Bordeaux.
