I have a very nice Noire de Caromb (a fine French variety) fig in 1 gal pictured and a Pons new book about figs in Catalan that I would like to trade for a Maltese Falcon and Maltese Beauty. If you have any in a 1 gal as well or can make me an air layer, please PM me.

The book is in Catalan not Spanish but the vocabulary needed is limited and the photos are so high quality that you may not need more than a few days to read what you need. It is brand new as I mentioned.

If you can make me an air layer, I would probably ship you the NdC now since it is growing vigorously and in a month or 2 it will be double the current size. I actually pinched the top to encourage the branching already.

The first person can choose what to get, the book or the NdC.

Thanks!

Once and awhile you are just going to have to bid on it on Ebay, like the rest of us...LOL     I think its a bad time to ask for cuttings. Good Luck Amigo.

Well, I had 3 cuttings of the Falcon, rooted just fine and they started growing in the 1 gal pots happily. I even made a trade deal and was happy like a baby !
And then the stupid squirrels bit the green tops of 2 and they died… the 3rd one died for no reason.
And now I want to trade one Falcon but not for me, I would like to honor the deal if possible.
So, the cutting won’t work for me.
