Hard to tell until a ripe fig can be seen along with a good view of a dominant leaf.  It looks a lot like my unknown, with that red eye.  Do you know if this is a dark or light colored fig when ripe?

The leaves and red eye (and heat-stressed leaves) remind me of Violette de Bordeaux and related figs.

I think its fruit is bigger than Violette de Bordeaux and related figs.

The leaves remind me of my Alma figs, but I don't know if they get a red eye.  The Almas are not red inside, are they?  I didn't get any figs from my Almas last year, so I am not sure of the eye color.

The Alma leaves will do that sort of curl in the heat and they will get kind of hard, too.  Strange.
