Plant came to me as Paradiso from Adriano. Plant woke up late - like in mid to late June. Note its productivity. A reliable variant and pretty good tasting.

I've grown Paradiso and Bronze Paradiso in my greenhouse. I like them both a lot. Very similar to Strawberry Verte only about 50% bigger. All have excellent flavor, are very sweet, and shrivel as they ripen. So even in a humid greenhouse can be picked as sweet as you like.

Paul, do you have any idea what the relationship of this variety is to Paradiso Gene? It's amazing the number of different Paradiso varieties that are floating around. This looks like a good one though - thanks for posting.

My Paradiso Gene never gave me one single ripe fig in 5 or more years. Its a big tree, over 6ft. If I am correct, Paradiso Gene is a green fig whilst Paradiso AF is a colored fig. Yes, almost all Paradiso AF branches are nicely laden with figs.

Looks like a good one Paully. Good thing for the greenhouse, you'll have to be sure to post some pictures for us to drool over when then are ripe.

A very productive plant. So far I have grown Adrianos Paradiso, Dusan's Bronze Paradiso, Bronze Paradiso VS, Genes Paradiso & Paradiso Nero purchased locally. The Paradiso Nero & Adriano's paradiso were identical in everyway both suffered from fmv pretty bad although they were extremely productive I eventualy gave them both away. Dusan's Bronze paradiso was very productive and tasty but with time the fmv got the best of it and it eventually died last winter as did Gene's & Bronze Paradiso VS. As for my taste buds I would say Gene's Paradiso & Bronze Paradiso Vs were better tasting although Dusans bronze paradiso came close but had a different flavor profile. Nelson
