Just received a huge tree from her. Forgot all about it then the mail man brought me a present. Isnt it just the best when a tree shows up unexpectedly. Cant wait to taste this raspberry flavored fig.

In the book the "The Meaning of Trees" it is said the fig regulates the heart and that the true essence of Figs is...food for the soul. Daisy's IBT cuttings will be available in January/February along with a few Lampeira Parda.

Thank you, Richie, for giving it a good home. I hope it survived de-potting and shipping. Greenfig gave me several El Molino cuttings last winter to practice rooting. It was my first time propagating figs. They all rooted and grew really tall over the summer. I have one tree planted in the ground already and others for back up, so needed to find homes for the extras. I did a brief post on this forum, and they were all gone within the hour. Sharing trees and cuttings is so much fun!

I think it's "extend an olive branch or extend a fig leaf" but you make more sense Richie. Figs are better than olives and you can get more from branches than leaves. Good thought.

People are so generous on this forum. I wish I hadn't lurked for years before joining. haha Oh, Richi, I also just got some El Molino from a very generous forum member. I am super excited to try this one as it said to be a superior tasting cultivar!!!
Galicia Negra, Violetta, Violette de Sollies, Dan_la's Black Beauty 10, Craven's Craving, Most important : YOUR FAVORITE FIG . A lot of people put emphasis on popular/exotic cultivars, which is great because it highlights some of the better fig varieties; however, I am most interested in the figs our members love regardless of pedigree.
