Atreano VS Conadria: Which Do You Prefer?!

Ross, I have both. While Atreano can be watery it seems to have more flavor and sweetness to it than Conadria. Not much though but just enough for me to keep it over Conadria. I Like both figs they are similar but I find Conadria is slightly larger and richer flavour. Overall Conadria has performed better for me in NH. Generally more productive , earlier , and reliable for me , and slightly more forgiving with harvesting a little early. My Atreano , more than any other variety I've ever had , required being absolutely dead ripe to bring out its true flavor , as if the infusion of flavor only happened in the very last few hours of ripening. My Atreano was the RR strain as far as I was able to determine. When dead ripe it was very good. __________________ Kerry Zone 5 NH Wish list :Galicia Negra , Col de Dame Blanca/Negra .

Ross, most of my 2nd year Conadria split this year, and only a couple were even edible. Last year Atreano was very good, a second year plant. This year many of the Atreano unevenly ripened, the eye end becoming mushy before the stem end was edible. I am not sure what happened, but I plan to give them both more time.
