I don’t know I can rate them all as I am slowly coming out of a Latex induced comma, or maybe it was my job, I enjoyed them all, well the figs that is. maybe not the job.

In the light category the Unk White Italian continued to impress both me and the wife and today it rules the lights. I call it refreshing very juicy but with much more flavor than my LSU Gold for a comparison. and these LSU Gold were good. I have had the watery LSU Gold, but I have been very dry and these recent LSU Gold the best I have had of that cultivar. My Excel sometimes dryish I think maybe because I picked them too early but today they were better, I think my plant is pot bound as well, which Might?? Account for the dryness? My Unk Marseillies White was probably in 2^nd of lights today. I am pretty sure is true, but I am slow to remove the Unk and doubt I ever will. Latarolla today I rushed by at least a couple days, but what a pretty blemish free fig. It doesn’t seem to develop the sugar spot browning as many do and really stays green and doesn’t yellow as much, so maybe I am picking them way too soon? Would think if you have bird issues this may be the one to actually fool them.

The darks I am hard to pick a winner today. Takoma Violet, Kesariani, Unk Owensboro, and Chicago Hardy were all intoxicating today. And Florea is such a gem, maybe overshadowed by some in complexity of flavor today, but she has been feeding me for weeks before anyone else was blessing me so she has a place in my heart, kinda like that 1^st kiss.

Yes my wife likes old things and that’s a good thing as I am getting there quickly myself. I was looking for something to keep the cultivars separated and today every compartment was occupied, so maybe I will graduate to something that comes in a 24 case as opposed to 12. Where is Pete when you need him , best wishes to him as I understand he was not feeling well.

This was my second maybe third day of Unknown Owensboro. It was really good and couple of these guys were  way ripe. I think maybe Jason on his threads compared it to Sal’s Gene strain, but to me It was more like Chicago Hardy today. I know maybe they have been called the same if I recall but my Sal’s gene leaf looks different than Owensboro, and Sal’s Gene did not match the other darks with intensity of flavor today but was still good. BTW that Latarolla was from your cuttings that offered up to any quick responder on the forum 2 years ago. I think EJP3 brought this cultivar to us so thank you both.

As far as topping I can sure hope but If I go lift a few more tree skirts(leaves) and find a gem I might not come out of that Latex comma, but what a way to go
