This fig was sold as "Brolo". I've never heard of this variety and a quick search shows that it's a town near Messina, Sicily. Any idea on what it is? It is on the smaller side, has a seedy crunch and is very sweet.

I'm guessing that this is the third year. I bought it last year and it was about 3ft tall and the wood was lignified. Not much new growth this year. But it did finally grow figs. I'm in zone 7 Long Island NY
