Art, does your friend grow this one with or without protection in upstate NY? Thank you for the description, another one to think about adding to the list! That cross section looks really great.

No, his is in a pot and I think it died from the severe winter. I will replace it for him.

Art, that is an ugly fig, has to be good, average 9.5, wow. But , I never heard of this fig, does it have an open or closed eye maybe okay for Florida? What fig could you compare it to or is it unique? Thanks, keep them coming.

I don't think it's a splitter. The weather has been horrible this last week. Rainy and cold. As far as the taste goes. I will let you know on the next ones. Sorry, I forget. I just know it was good.

This is an ugly fig, but it is a really good one. The skin is a little tougher than the others.
