This is the first fig from this tree and it was great! I know the person who grows this in upstate NY said it was his favorite white fig. My wife gave it a 10 and I gave it a 9.

I also threw a picture of the rest of the figs that I ate tonight.

Art, does your friend grow this one with or without protection in upstate NY?  Thank you for the description, another one to think about adding to the list!  That cross section looks really great.

Art,

That's one ugly fig. I'll be sure to turn the lights out when mine matures and produces ripe figs.;)

Thanks for posting.

No, his is in a pot and I think it died from the severe winter. I will replace it for him.

Art, that is an ugly fig, has to be good, average 9.5, wow. But , I never heard of this fig, does it have an open or closed eye maybe okay for Florida? What fig could you compare it to or is it unique? Thanks, keep them coming.

I don't think it's a splitter. The weather has been horrible this last week. Rainy and cold.
As far as the taste goes. I will let you know on the next ones. Sorry, I forget. I just know it was good.

Ugly is only skin deep. I must say, the inside of that one looks delectable.

This is an ugly fig, but it is a really good one. The skin is a little tougher than the others.
