I recall sending cuttings to Calgary some years ago to a F4F member. Their Fig season is over as of today on September 10,

We are not doing any better in Zone 5a here in Ottawa. So far, I have two ripe figs on Florea which has been my consistent early ripening fig. Thanks to Herman who first brought Florea to members attention.

Too bad for Alberta they are calling for -4C (25F) tonight.  It will gradually warm back up to 24C (75F) by Monday.

In S. Ontario we have had great weather last few weeks but now it will be dropping to  (15F) 60F for the coming week..yuk

Unbelievable, it has not sunk below 91 here for weeks and at least another week ahead will remain the same.
