We have a few nicely growing VdS trees here in zone 7a however this is the first year for them so no fully developed fruit

How was the fruit from your trees this year?

Hi RIch,

My 2nd year tree defoliated in the freeze last night.  The sole fruit I left on the tree to ripen this season is still hard and erect, but 75% purple.  I hope it ripens sooner next  year.
