Cuttings of Kathleen's Black
I've decided to try this, as I've seen a few other members do recently. I have cuttings of Kathleen's Black, and will make them available to members for what I think is a reasonable price. You can read about this cultivar on the forum (use search). My tree came to me from a former member here who told me he got it from Herman. I'm packaging bundles of three cuttings, with at least 3 nodes each (most have more). Cost: $8.25 plus 5.75 postage. Total $14 for 3 cuttings, includes postage.
Packaging and shipping details: I'll package them in ziploc bags, dry (no moist paper towel or moss). This is how Maggie (Mediterranean Flora Gardens) packages her cuttings, and I've had good success with hers. The cuttings do fine and don't dry out for the short time they are in transit, and this reduces the chance of mold and also the chance of damage from freezing while in transit. Three cuttings to a bag (or more... I have a couple small ones which will be "extras" in a couple of packages). Combination of tip cuttings and non-tip cuttings. I'll ship them in USPS priority mail envelopes only, with tracking number. USA only, "lower 48 states" only (USA). Sorry, no Alaska, no Hawaii, no outside of USA... just too many regulations and stuff like that to deal with).
How to request:
email only. Please send me an email (use the email relay on the forum... just click on the email link in my profile, or in the various places where my ID appears). Please send your name and address, and remember to include your email address! (Without that, I cannot easily contact you with details of payment, shipment, tracking info, etc), so please make sure you include it. don't send "private message" (aka PM) via the forum. I'll ignore PM's sent about this. don't post here in this thread that you want to request cuttings. Well... er... I mean, you can post here if you'd like, but it'll be ignored in terms of treating it as a request for cuttings. email is the only way. :-)
Payment:
Paypal only. I'll send you details when I respond to your email. (Note: my paypal email address is different from the email that I use for fig emails).
All the usual disclaimers
all of my trees have been exposed to FMV. Assume these cuttings have the FMV viruses. If this is an issue for you, then don't request these cuttings. I can't guarantee that you'll succeed at rooting. They're healthy cuttings, and this variety is not particularly difficult to root, but with so many variables, no guarantee. No returns, no refunds. If something goes wrong with the shipment though, or if there's some other issue, then please do contact me. I'm a fair person, and if something unexpected happens then contact me by email and we'll work something out. Note: some of the cuttings are a bit thin (pencil thickness), but I will try to provide a mix of sizes in each bag. Mike central NY state, zone 5a

Agreed Rui! I paid a lot more for my plant, so if I didn't already have one....great offer.

Mike, have you gotten KB to fruit for you in zone 5a? I rooted mine during the summer of 2012 and it still hasn't brought a fruit to ripeness. It was froze to the ground last winter though. Maybe this will be its year.

Flowerchic: This is in that "waiting state" near the end of their availability, while I wait a day or so to find out if the last couple get paid for, or if those people "disappear" (don't pay) then they go to the next ones on the list. And so on, til gone. I will post a notice once they're truly gone. Mike

These are gone now folks. Many thanks to all who expressed interest and to those who bought them. I wish you all much success in growing this variety! Apologies to those at the end who waited while doing that final "sorting out" process at the end (sorting out the end of the set). Overall it went pretty smoothly. Only a couple of unexpected glitches. I'll probably try this again with another variety or two. Thanks again. Mike central NY state, zone 5a
