Yes, you can still go, Aaron. Ours in Santa Rosa lets members in an hour earlier, and for non-members it's $5.00 entry, I think. You can join at the exchange if you wish.

Although I am registered with the O.C. Chapter, I decided to check out the L.A. Exchange this morning. I am so glad I did. The members were all very friendly, generous, and knowledgable people. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was really nice meeting you Tyro.
I got some cool stuff I didn't see at the O.C. Scion exchange last week. I am particularly excited about trying to root the fig cuttings from you, Tyro, and the Marseilles Black VS that I got. Did you bring that too? I hope go to the Foothill Chapter exchange on February 7th at the L.A. Arboretum too, to see if there is anything I can't live without. I'll bring some Strawberry Verte to that one.

We also had our CRFG scion exchange today, the Redwood Empire in Santa Rosa. Amazing amount of scion varieties, and a large crowd. 40-50 varieties of figs, including many numbered Italian varieties. I got some pluots to graft to my plum tree, a Kanko Loquat tree, and some Izu Persimmon scions, among other things. A wonderful organization.

Beautiful area up there Gary, pulled Luther Burbank in with it's climate.Wish I could have been at that meeting as well.I lived in Novato for a hot second back in the early "70"s.You could still buy a "shotgun shack" on a 1/2 acre in Petaluma for 30k back then. Cheers, Paul

Hi Paul, yes, prices have changed since the 70's, but the climate is still wonderful, and the area beautiful. Everyone seems to be growing food around here, there is such abundance. This next Saturday is the Mendocino Permaculture scion and seed exchange. It is amazing the varieties available for free, especially apples and pears. Let me know should you ever visit up this way. Good growing, Gary
