In my zone, I find 1258 or Gypsy tasting better. For that matter I have a few more varieties that is better tasting than GN. Even my Grantham's Royal breba taste better than a GN breba. I have No doubts GN maybe a great tasting fig in the right zone. Hopefully we can hear reports of this from hotter zones than mine.

Im in Fresno and have gypsy but young. Im still looking for i258 and would take small tip cuttings too.
