So here are a few pics of my palms and figs covered in ice. The big palms are Sabal Palmetto, two smaller palms are Butia Capitata and Trachycarpus Fortunei, and peach is labeled. The rosemary is the fully green little block of ice. What sort of damege should I expect? All of the fig trees pictured are only one or two seasons old.

The rosemary's probably gone. Don't judge figs until mid to late summer.

Agreed - my rosemary always does well...until that first bitter cold. I replace it every year. Should just give put it in a cold frame.

Try foam pipe insulation that you just slide on and put hay at base of plants. Hope they all survive

So almost all of my plants came through ok. My figs look a bit more damaged, but I am pretty sure they all survived. Rosemary looks good.

Glad to hear everything survived! I know i sure would have been worried. We're having really warm weather out here in WA and I'm just crossing my fingers that we don't get tricked by a sudden cold snap.

Update: Many didn't survive, at least not the top growth. My black mission is dead to the ground. Hopefully the roots survived. My 'celeste' from lowes (which looks nothing like celeste) also died to the roots. My Alma and Hady Chicagos look great, my brown turkey looks only tip burned and the rest are in a bad, but unknown condition. I am going to stop prodding and make another assessment in June if they fail to leaf out by then. Some of them are covered in black mold as well which I suspect is a bad sign.
