I recently lost my kaffir lime tree and am hoping someone on here has an extra to trade. I have a large fig tree collection and can send cuttings or root you a tree.

I hope you are able to get your lime tree.  Just a word, I got censored on another site for calling it K..... &  and got chastised by a family member for calling it that.  I think the acceptable word is leaf lime.  Maybe also makrut but I'm not sure.  I plan to get one this summer to use in cooking and making cleaning products.  It is not allowed in Fla. because of some bug or disease.  The K word is some kind of ethnic slur...

Well that's the first time I've heard that. Time to google and see why it is a "bad" word. I was reading about them earlier today and both articles I read had no reference. I guess if anyone complains I'll change it. thx.

Yeah, learn something new everyday!  Now I'm interested in getting on of these "leaf limes" but maybe I'll get a Meyer Lemon first.

Steve,
The "Leaf Lime's" fruit ain't good eating. Most folks grow for the leaves as they are great in Thai food, etc.
With the price of lemons now -and I want to try lemon slices in my next batch of fig preserves - we're all going to have to grow our lemons or adjust our food budgets.
So is Leaf Lime the new official name?
thx
mgg

I'm selling off my extras as space is becoming an issue.
I have tons of brebas this year.
thx,
mgg

Michael, do "Leaf Lime" tree go dormant for you? curious how you are keeping one alive unless you bring it indoors and give it good light?
