How were the Peter's honey? I planted mine with fruit and the shock made it drop the leavesand fruit, so I can't try it this year

Being new to figs, I have not tried many. I liked all the figs I at from my tree. Red Lebanese has a slight berry taste and strong figgy flavor, not too sweet, slight seed crunch. Peters honey was juicy and very sweet. The pulp just melted and vanished in my mouth.

The brown turkey was very ripe, and it was like a thick jam, very sweet and slightly chewy. RdB was not too ripe and had a peppery touch. I had to pick it because the birds were getting at my figs faster than I could.

Unlike the other ones, that Brown Turkey was probably picked at the right time and that's why it tasted best. Congrats...

Thanks.

I pulled my first Black Jack after the birds started picking on them too. The fig was a bit watery, pleasantly sweet.

Mohan,  How old is your Black Jack?

I've got 6-8 figs on my two year old Black Jack. I am really looking forward to tasting them.

Here are the figs that I pulled from trees. Black Jack, Red Lebanese, Peters Honey(right), Alma(left). They were perfectly ripe. My kids devoured all but a couple they spared for me and my wife to share. Great tasting figs.
