Hello. I'm new here and as a figger. I have recently bought brogiotto nero and napolitana negra however i do not know about this variety. I live in Malaysia and there are no fig wasp here. Do these two variety need the wasp to fruit? I have 2 opinion on this as some here says its able to fruit without the wasp pollination and the other says no. So i need answers...if possible all there is to know about these 2 varieties...as i couldn't find enough information about these two.

Thank you in advance

Both if these should be common figs (no wasp needed)

I think they are pretty common but to be honest i'm not sure. A friend of a friend have brogiotto n, but his fruit keeps falling out after about 2 months. His plant is fruiting for the 2nd time now this year but are again falling off the tree. His experience scares me abit coz i really hope that it will fruit and i get to try them as i heard they are delicious. We don't get fresh figs in our market unlike othr countries...we only have dried ones....
