Hello.
I am new on this interesting site and a fig tree enthousiast.
I live between france and Tunisia.
I would like to identifiate a fig tree wich grows here in south ouest France.
It is a big tree with long and falling branchs and gives fantastic fruits very sucred like honey one time, at the end of august.
I have made a marcotte of this fantastic fig tree and hope it will go on and give me a lot of fruits ..
Thank you for any idea of the variety.
It gives a lot of fruit , they are big and not so black at maturity.
Reagards.

I agree with Herman, looks like my English Brown Turkey.  I would love to hear the Euro name, I have never thought that this fig was a Brown Turkey.

Hi,
This looks like a dark fig.
"Sultane" main crop figs do look like that some times ...

Hi, Jamel.

I just saw this thread and i see quite a few similarities between the tree you found and my old Figo Preto de Torres Novas, including the maturation date (late August) and the long and falling branches. See the photos on my thread and compare the two. The only thing that isn't quite similar is the fig size. You say they are big figs. How much does a medium sized fig weight?

Hi Jaime and thank's for your answer, i think the figs are bigger and darker than the beautiful figs (they look deliciolus..)of your old figo preto de Torres Novas (nice tree)
Mines weight is  beetween 70 80 g .the color is black at maturity..
Regards.

Jamel.
