Hello all, I'm wondering what time of the year are the prime months for fig cutting trading and purchasing? Thanks!

Hi Jennifer, you are looking at late November through February timeframe. There will be some a little earlier and some a little later. This is what I saw last year anyway :)

Fall. This is when most folk's trees have lignified and gone dormant. The cuttings will be fresh, full of energy, and root well.

Last year I took cuttings as soon as all leaves dropped. Different time of year for different locations. in South Carolina is usually Nov-Dec. Doug

Well, this is a good time to find small ones trying to shoot from the base, which if your lucky have some root stock, I find if you take off all the leaves, but the ones near the top and plant it deep in a pot and of course keep it where it gets very little sun and slowly move it into the sun you can clone it
