My un protected figs in zone 6 are still getting ripe fruit even though our temps are getting low and had a few light frost. all were top killed last winter too. im making a list of cold hardy figs that grow well unprotected and still give a crop. 4 years in on research. __________________ Dave Zone 6b Illinois "Be the change you wish to see in the world"

Still ripening figs here in NC as well. My harvested sweet potatoes and white potatoes think it is strong and the figs keep putting on babies. I should get some more satsumas soon too. __________________ Brian Wish list: Col de Dame

I just bought 2 packs of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/361307922051?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I fasten them to a limb around eye-level to make it easy to see. I upcycle soda cans for my plant markers but they do take some time.
