A lot of people put emphasis on popular/exotic cultivars, which is great because it highlights some of the better fig varieties; however, I am most interested in the figs our members love regardless of pedigree.
Currently Growing: a bunch of varieties.

Thanks Mario.  A friend of mine knows exactly where the mother tree is located.  I might make a quick drive there and see if I can get a few cuttings.  My doctor has small tree.  When I visited him 2 months ago, he said another doctor friend of his rant and rave about the figs.  I told him to give it a weak solution of fish emulsion. He said he added a small teaspoon on top of the soil.  I laughed!  He asked me why I was laughing.  I told him, he was suppose to add the teaspoon with water then water the tree.  He laughed!

Haha that is funny. Well if you are down there, you might as well make a day out of it.  There was some decent fishing at the pier when I was there.  Spots, flounder, and a few folks with the heavy gear were looking for kings.  If you need a decent affordable hotel I can recommend one.  :)
