Wow, I had a large hawk take up residence in a huge old tree on the empty lot next to me. The squirrels have all been dispatched / run off in less than a week. Talk about pest control wow, only problem is I wish He? would have showed up sooner when they wiped out my peaches. Oh well hope he likes it here and stays:)

I had the same thing happen to me a day before I was going to pick about 12 perfectly ripe peaches from my new tree a squirrel came and literally ate all 12 peaches and I mean all of them He also passed the next day not from a Hawk but from lead poisoning

Wish I could get away with that kind of control, but too many neighbors and my wife likes the furry little thieves.

I have two fat old chihuahua mixes who the squirrels just laugh at and tease. I even used to have one squirrel who would go out on a low hanging limb and bounce up and down just out of reach to tease them. I guess I'll start a new thread about dogs for squirrel control. Its been awful quiet though since the hawk moved in.
