The very first Ponte Tresa Fig on Ebay
(winning bid : $541.00 for 3 cuttings)

The question WHY is still blinking its eyes to the whole (fig) World
When my dear Ponte Tresa cuttings are finally home
No matter how much did I pay
They will be with me
During my lonesome days

Light up my heart
At Christmas time
With your blood flesh and juicy drops of Heaven dream
Ponte Tresa fig
From far away you come to beam
Beam me up
Through waves of craziness
Walk me out of darkness
Of nonsense

I am here
Holding my breath to wait
For your
Comeback-to-Sorrento
I am here
Nurturing my soul
With God's guide

Let's the Ponte Tresa's cuttings
Grow into Fairness
Into Brightness
Into the most flavorful fruit
For you and I
To taste
Now
Why for next life
WHY ????

If you have to ask why?  Why so much for bennie babies?  Why for furbe or a comic or sports car ect?  If you have the disposable income and you want it and it will give you joy then that is your answer.  Grats to both the seller and the buyer.

Really, in water? I thought that wasn't a high success method?

I once sold a record for $2,900.00 on Ebay. And they are not making more of them. The price will never come down, just go up. At least one day PT will be a lot cheaper.
I saw on this site people complaining about Black Madeira going for 7 bucks. You know no matter what somebody isn't happy. So I found this conversation to be rather amusing. I'm happy with the unknown Brooklyn figs, I don't live in the best climate for figs. I only want figs to eat, and cook with. I don't look at them as investments as soon enough they will be cheap. Plenty of really cool figs for low prices. I have over 20 different kinds and paid less than 15 dollars for each one, some a lot less, like free! A great deal if you ask me! Many are top rate cultivars too. And one day I'll probably pick up PT for 10 bucks. If you just watch you can even get some rare ones for good prices. I got Col de Dama Blanca-Negra for 7 bucks, Also Shiblawi for 15 bucks. i see it is at 54.00 on EBay right now. Oh they are the real deal too. Just be patient.
