This thread is to thank Special People here on the forum who have been kind enough to share their bounty of cuttings with a newbie like me. I have been so impressed and moved by the generosity, thoughtfulness shown by you all. >>Anyone else is also welcome to add their own experiences of the generosity from friends here... Not in any particular order: pukzpukz....He sent a group of healthy LSU Gold and Purple cuttings, nicely wrapped. Gave a lot of helpful tips in starting cuttings, along with photos. I've now potted two of the LSU Purple as they have roots started! MariannaMiller....Such a nice bunch of Celeste cuttings!, sent before I even paid for the shipping. Friendly and helpful tips, and she even generously offered to include Brunswick in the package. Brooklynmatty....Offered a little piece of Brooklyn- I couldn't resist :) Swamped with shipping as he was, nicely wrote back and sent those Unk Sheepshead this way so quickly. They are now in moss, preparing to root. Sobelri....Sent me a handful of great cuttings from a found tree in Texas, then followed with his helpful tips on rooting. One of the cuttings has a few roots poking out now. figgary...He kindly found some RdB cuttings for me, which he sent before I even reimbursed for shipping. When I opened the package, I was beyond thrilled to find cuttings of Peter's Honey and Panache!! The pets came to check on me as they heard the commotion when I opened the package and found those extra cuttings! Special mention....Jodi, for offering cuttings from her wonderful Daisy's "Cornilio" Improved BT. And for all the other members here who have generously shared knowledge and friendship- this is a great place to be. Happiest of holidays for all, LJ

Joy - I'm sure I speak for others who shared, but this community is amazing as Richie mentioned. I was offered cuttings when i first started, and gary sent me my first plant while i was still rooting. Thanks gary!
Now I'm just trying to give it back to other people here, there are so many great people here and the fig community is a tight one. I've already met 2 members and look forward to events next summer :)
Stick around and you will make good friends.
Good luck with your cuttings :)
Matt
