This one was inactive in the basement. I was getting mold on the tip so I needed to change its environment. I moved it on top of the shower stall where it gets some additional humidity during our showers. It's in a 16oz cup with part of another cup on top, covered with saran wrap. Ah yes I had a shower tub combo with an east window that was marvelous for orchids! Ha! I love the comments. :) Pino - I replaced the soil mix before bringing it upstairs so the mix is still nice and damp. I don't air it out because I have poked holes in the upper lid. I'm using Pro-Mix BX with extra perlite added. __________________ Frank zone 7a - VA

That's very funny Frank! I have about 40 in a plastic bin in one of the tubs in my bathroom using Mai's method. My wife just shook her head. But you know, it's the perfect location in my opinion. There is a heat vent and a window in my bathroom. And we keep our upstairs house around 71 during day and 68 at night. The cuttings are rooting! Mine have been in there a week. Maltese Beauty is one of the fastest rooters, I've ever seen! Darn cuttings has roots and swollen buds! __________________ Dennis Charlotte, North Carolina/Zone 8a
