Not too long ago there was a question on Pro mix HP CC I have been using it about a month now and there has been no die off or any question of it not holding moisture. The one thing I have noticed is that you HAVE to pre moisten the mix that solves the problem of the water running right thru it.

Agreed on pre-wetting it. I have successfully rooted cuttings without pre-wetting, but it's a pain to get it to absorb the first time.
