Hi everyone! This is a very good fig I had last summer. It is green, deep red inside, and has a honey drop coming from the eye when ripe. I had another fig which was riper and even darker inside, but unfortunately didn't take a picture. It was very much like eating jam, both texture and taste wise. I took some scions and grafted them two months ago, and some of my grafts took... so now I'm curious to know what variety this is. Any help would be appreciated!

You have many figs there that are not in the States. We have one other Israeli member. If he doesn't know you might want to seek out some locals.

That certainly looks like a winner. Thanks for sharing. Could you tell is the tree wild or planted?

cis4elk, I don't think it's a wild tree since it's planted in a public park. There are several trees of three different varieties that I saw there. It looks like it was trained to grow in tree form, too, so probably not a seedling.

Very interesting, Andreas! who knows, that might be it. It also looks very similar to the Shtawi fig shown here: http://figs4fun.com/links/FigLink006f.pdf but the eye doesn't match.
