I typically spray my plants & trees with worm tea. It helps deter pests & non-beneficial bugs. It also really helps vegetables grow huge. Being new at growing figs, im wondering, should I spray my fig trees or will that deter the wasp? Lately, some of my fig trees are being chewed up like crazy. I mean some have had leaves the size of my hand chewed off almost completely. Any advice is appreciated.

Worm tea works to deter pests that would ingest the plant material.  I don't think it would affect the wasps at all.

Hi smyfigs,
could you add your usda zone in your signature or profile ?

I don't think that tea will deter a deer or a suede . If a whole big leaf is gone, you have a big one/pest coming to your tree... Could be a raccoon... I don't think that insects will rip a whole leaf.
I had slugs chew on some leaves and the fig-moth too. But they don't take a full leaf. They take bits of it.
I just applied (extinct) lime to the trunks of my trees this week. It deters ants, slugs, moths/caterpillars ... Lime is mainly calcium, and the trees need it too (as always use a bit, not a truck load) .

You should try to identify the pest, before you know how to get rid of it.
If you spread lime around your trees and on their trunks, it will probably help for walking and climbing pests, as lime will sticks to their paws.

Hi there, JD France! Well, let's see...you dont have your zone on your signature either. Mine used to be there...changes with programming, Im sure.

Worm tea is an excellent deterrant for many pests. Not raccoons, of course. Also, a whole leaf CAN be chewed up by pests in one night. My husband believes its a locust. Anyway, i just sprayed worm tea today :-)
