I was out mapping more local trees today to come back and visit when they are fruiting so I know which doors to knock on for cuttings While driving around I saw a beach vacation rental that apparently had an over zealous maintenance guy... There was literally 50% of a fig tree sitting in a pile on the ground next to the road. It had been cut earlier in the day, leaves were still green, some branches were as thick as my wrist! Long story short, I rescued most of the branches, chopped them up into cuttings and wanted to offer them up to people here. Whether you need some root stock, cuttings to experiment with, or are interested in growing a vigorous growing tree that does fruit even if it could end up being Brown turkey... Maybe its something more excit ing. Im calling them "CB2 Unk" as they are the second tree from Carolina Beach, I have been able to secure cuttings from. Here is my thought for cost: 6 good sized cuttings with 4+ nodes each for $10 shipped 10 good sized cuttings with 4+ nodes each for $14 shipped Shipping: This is US shipping only, I will ship to CA but buyer is responsible if items dont show up. I will provide usps tracking number. The $ covers shipping, wrap, packaging materials, paypal fees, and some of the time cutting, packing, and mailing. Let me know if anyone is interested, I have a lot of them, if you want more than 6 we can make something work. Also if you have something fun to trade, let me know and we can just do it shipping for shipping. Basically I didnt want to see this stuff go to waste and please dont make me root it all myself LOL Let me know if youd like some and I will send you my paypal address.

Thanks Lou, I'm weirdly drawn to unknowns. Maybe I like the element of surprise. HAHA Can't wait to see what these become.

Thanks, Lou. They arrived today and they look great. I just got done with my marking pens placing an ID on each one and slipped them into my soaking solution. If I'm up to it, I may place them into their baggies later tonight after about an 8 or 9 hour soak. If not, I'll do it tomorrow morning after about a 20 hour soak. I have to say, I expect some of them to really POP quickly. Again, thank you.

Thanks, captain Lou! I just got them and they look great. My sister used to live in Wilmington NC, so she'll get a kick out of these. I don't know how they got here so fast, but thank you for offering these cuttings. Will keep you updated. Thanks, again!

You guys are both welcome! I am happy they arrived quickly and looked great! Goodluck with the rooting! Bill, Wilmington is a great place, most people that move away do miss it but its nice to get away sometimes :) Please do keep me updated. I do have a few more sets available if people still want some! Otherwise im going to end up throwing them in to root. My girlfriend would prefer I sell more though :)

A lot of people put emphasis on popular/exotic cultivars, which is great because it highlights some of the better fig varieties; however, I am most interested in the figs our members love regardless of pedigree. Currently Growing: a bunch of varieties.
