Hi there, Recently I just bought an airlayered fig plant from a seller. When I received it, the leaves were droopy and slight dried. After about a few days later, the tip of the cutting were dried and wrinkled. 2 weeks since I bought the airlayered plant, there weren't any new growth. Hence I inspected and found that the main stem was hollow. I want to know what is the cause of this ? Is it due to the poor airlayering quality or just my luck ? By the way, I'm residing in Asia.

Yes, in Malaysia airlayered plants are very popular. Some vendors (like me) cut off most of the leaves and the "pucuk". This is to prevent to dry out. Hollow stem could also be some types of infestation (beetle)? __________________ Rick C.
