The Violette De Bordeaux prone to soil? What does it mean in the fig world. How to overcome spoilage?

Violette de Bordeaux is prone to spoil in very rainy cool, climates, while ripening. Your Summer is not cool, nor very rainy in August when this fig get ripe in Texas,so the chance to spoil in your location is very small. No remedy for spoiling, except, plant high on a soil mound(you make one),and you can ,place plastic around tree about 0ne inch deep about 5 foot diameter circle to stop extra water going to the roots, but i do not think it needs it in Texas. You will like the fruits of Violette if they ripe properly.
